Wall switches

DESCRIPTION
- Wall switches for shading technology serve as wired simple control of “silly” motors. For blinds, it is advisable to use a 5-position switch which, when pressed slightly, tilts the slats and locks upwards or downwards when pressed fully and does not need to be kept pressed.
- A simple 3-position switch with up and down directions is sufficient for roller blinds and pleated blinds.
Benefits
- The wall switches are wired to the motor and there is no need to change batteries or maintain the system in any other way.
- There is no need to calculate the range of the radio signal on the controller – product route. Wire control is thus the only option in large buildings such as schools, offices or commercial administrative and manufacturing buildings.
Disadvantages
- Impossibility of automatic control (time automatics and intelligent scenarios)
- Uncomfortable operation – one must stand directly at the switch to operate the screening product.
- Construction preparation – each switch and its location must be considered in advance in the construction project. The circuit-breaker must be installed in an electrical box, to which the supply from the switchboard (3-wire cable) and from the box another supply to the blind (5-wire cable) must be brought. In retrofitting, this means quite a lot of intervention (eg cutting the hole on the box)
- Wiring – a cable must be routed to any sensors and other accessories for the shielding products. If several products need to be controlled by one sensor, a continuous IB bus must be routed over all switches.
